Famous Photo is a full-service professional photography studio and lab that has been Downriver since 1978. Owned and operated by Edward and Marilyn Schweizer, Famous Photo promises quality and outstanding customer service. Famous Photo takes pride in the quality and professional prints that are done in our on-site photography lab.

We specialize in SPORTS, STUDIO PORTRAITS (family, children, high school seniors, etc), EVENTS, and WEDDINGS. Since we have our own in-house photo lab, we are able to do enlargements, prints from slides, restorations, etc. Famous Photo employees are dedicated to ensuring that you like the final product. Whatever your service may be - high school seniors, babies, weddings, one sport team or forty - we can and will do it all.

Our mission is to have a happy, smooth picture day that produces a top-quality end product. Standing still is not an option and we want to always move forward in the world of photography, embracing all that is new and wonderful.

Our Photographers

Marilyn Schweizer has been a wedding photographer for 27 years and has fallen in love with digital photography. There are new opportunities available with digital photography, and shooting weddings are a joy and a passion for her once again. She has done 20 years of sports photography and a variety of events.

Emily Canfield, our studio photographer, has been brought up around cameras her entire life. She has the ability to grab an individual's personality and display it through photography. She will work with you to find the end product that you envisioned.

The freelance photographers that have been with the company for many years specialize in sports and event photography. Their devotion to the company allows Famous Photo to provide smooth picture days, to multiple leagues, in multiple locations, on the same day. This allows you to have a photographer (or more than one) on any day of the week, at any given time.
